Clashindarroch Wind Farm

40 MW project built in 2015 in Aberdeenshire

Overview

Clashindarroch is located on Forestry Commission Scotland land near Huntly in Aberdeenshire. The 40MW phase 1 project will soon be joined by an 84MW phase 2 project. Developed by Piers' team based in Hexham, the area is one of the last remaining strongholds of the Scottish Wildcat. The project worked closely with organisations protecting Wildcats and their habitats, minimising disruption during construction and managing the habitat during the project's operational life to create new habitat. This helped enable the consenting of the more recent phase 2 project.
